Small project, plain terms, no fine-print games.
Last updated July 21, 2026
By downloading, installing, or otherwise using DadFM, or by running your own copy of R.A.D.I.O., you're agreeing to the terms below. This is a personal project run by one person, not a company — read it as that kind of agreement, not a Fortune 500 contract.
DadFM is an Android application that plays music already stored on your device and narrates it using AI-generated commentary and synthesized speech, produced by a companion engine called R.A.D.I.O. The same cast can also generate longer, on-demand Podcasts — a discussion among whichever mix of hosts you pick, on a topic you give them, with optional direction on how the scene should go. It is provided as-is, for personal use, and is not affiliated with any streaming service, record label, or artist mentioned in a song's metadata or in the host's commentary.
DadFM is built for individual, personal use with your own lawfully-owned music library. You agree not to use it, or R.A.D.I.O., for any commercial purpose, or in any way that infringes someone else's rights, without our prior written permission.
Your music files and their metadata remain entirely yours. We don't claim any ownership over your library, and nothing about using DadFM transfers rights to it to anyone.
The scripts and audio R.A.D.I.O. generates — both between-song commentary and full Podcast episodes — are produced automatically from your song metadata, whatever topic and optional direction you give it, and, if provided, your name/area/local time. We make no guarantee about the accuracy of anything the host says about a song, artist, era, or topic — it's flavor commentary, not a source of truth. You're welcome to use the generated audio for your own personal listening; we don't warrant it's free of third-party rights for any other use. A podcast episode's topic, optional direction, transcript, and audio are stored on the proxy server tied to your account so you can come back and listen later — see the Privacy Policy for how that's handled.
You agree not to:
R.A.D.I.O. depends on third-party AI providers to generate commentary and speech. We don't control their uptime, pricing, or policies, and DadFM's on-air commentary may be delayed, unavailable, or occasionally wrong as a result — in which case the app simply plays your music without an intro. That's a fallback, not a bug report you need to file.
DadFM and R.A.D.I.O. are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI host's jokes will land. Use it because you want to, not because we've promised it'll be perfect.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DadFM's creator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or R.A.D.I.O. — including a bad night of DJ commentary.
Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time, and these terms may be updated as the project evolves. Continuing to use DadFM after a change means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using the DadFM app at any time by uninstalling it. If you've also created a self-service account on the proxy (to manage your own API keys or generate podcast episodes), that account and the content tied to it — episodes, transcripts, usage history — persist until removed; there's no self-service delete yet, so contact the station admin to have it and its data removed. We may also discontinue the service, or your access to R.A.D.I.O., at any time, for any reason, particularly for a violation of the acceptable-use section above.
These terms are governed by the laws of wherever DadFM's creator happens to be broadcasting from that night — in practical terms, the general principles of U.S. law, absent a more specific jurisdiction being asserted.
Questions about these terms can be directed to whoever you know that's running this project.
